Those blankets lasted because they were real wool. So is this one: entirely merino, with nothing mixed in. Only merino is soft and does not itch, so it can cover even a baby's very delicate skin.
The pink and brown has the colour of peonies in a home garden. The blue and brown is calm and classic, like a summer sky over a meadow.
Merino warms when it gets cool and does not overheat when the sun comes back. It breathes and draws moisture away, so it works all year round.
The wool we knit it from carries the international Woolmark label. It confirms that this is pure new wool: shorn from living animals, never recycled, and of tested quality. The yarn comes from an Italian wool mill working since 1817, and the blanket is made in Poland.
It measures 100x120 cm. One blanket for two: by day it covers the baby in the pram, in the evening it lies on your lap over a cup of tea. And in a dozen or so years someone will call it "the blanket from my childhood".

We bring the yarn from Italy, from a wool mill working since 1817. We knit the blankets in Łódź. The pattern is made in the weave, not printed on, so it stays on the blanket for as long as the blanket itself. Each one is reversible, with the colours swapped on the underside.

Air it instead of washing - merino cleans itself. If it really needs washing, by hand only, in lukewarm water, with a wool detergent. No bleach and no fabric softener. Do not wring; dry flat, away from radiators, never in a tumble dryer. Iron on a low setting, if at all.
